Amazing what some people can whip up in an hour! This fine hammer with a length of brass and a piece of Cocobolo that was found in Larrys "special" stash.. I looked Cocobolo up in the Glossary of Wood by Thomas Corkhill, it was described as being from Tropical America - "very hard, heavy, and durable" - perfectly fitting for a hammer handle...
CFW has added two new courses to their calendar this year as a continuation from the beginners cabinet making. There are now three "beginners courses" being run, each with a different set project of trestle-table, wall cabinet or jewellery box.
